Enabling lifesaving research

VIVO Biobank are creating a single research resource for accessing samples of cancers in children and young people. Our nationwide network builds on the samples previously collected by the CCLG Tissue Bank and CellBank. Providing access to the widest collection of historic, current, and future samples and data available, VIVO supports the high-quality research needed to create breakthroughs in treatment.

STOP PRESS -

Changes to VIVO Biobank receipt of applications until 01/01/2025

Due to staff changes in Newcastle, VIVO Biobank will be short-staffed in the short-term. Therefore, new applications to the Sample and Data Access Committee (SDAC) for solid tumours will be paused with immediate effect. Leukaemia applications will continue as normal.

Requests for feasibility studies for researchers with grant deadlines before 1st March 2025 may be submitted to enquiries@vivobiobank.org and will be assessed by the chairs of SDAC who will provide a letter of support for you to provide to the funders.
